Okay, so now that we’ve officially moved across town, I’m busy working on a real invitation to send in the mail to all of you and Jon sends me this super-cool video invitation. Since I have no animation skills whatsoever, I’m giving you the link so you can enjoy it for yourself. By the way, if you have favorite invitations to share, feel free to post them here! Inspiration is always welcome!

I just checked in with Venture Resort and discovered there’s another wedding the same weekend as ours, so space will not last long. Please be sure to book a room early if you want to stay on the island. If you are booking a room at Venture Resort, be sure to mention “Celeste-Benedict Wedding” to get one of the rooms we are holding for our guests because all of their rooms are sold out.

It’s been a while, but I still remember the mountain top!

Last year, Jon planned a vacation to the Blue Ridge Mountains and on our first day he packed a surprise picnic and led me on a hike to the top of Black Balsam Bald. While I was busy taking in the breathtaking view and eating a tasty lunch from Mellow Mushroom in Asheville, he read me the poetic proposal that he had penned that morning. I was completely surprised and delighted. And, of course, I said yes.
